Christian Mental Health Vision

Whilst researching mental illness from a Christian perspective, the lack of resources and information available to Christians soon becomes painfully apparent. If you look on the bookshelves you find many publications relating to 'spirituality' and mental tranquillity, none of which are Christian.

If you search for help, support or information about mental illness in general, you will soon discover the Christian void and inevitably have to turn to the world.

Part of the vision behind this ministry and website is to fill this void in some way.

Whether we accept it or not, it would seem that Christian mental illness is very much misunderstood and perhaps even stigmatised within the church. Again this website and ministry hopes to help in this regard by providing articles about mental illness from a Biblical Christian perspective.

We believe in a holistic approach to mental health which includes those elements from the non-Christian world of learning, that are proved to be effective for the relief of sufferers.

We hope that this ministry and website will become a safe environment for Christians for whom mental illness has impacted their lives (Sufferers, carers and mental health professionals) to join together for mutual support within the forum.

As far as we are aware there is currently no Christian centre or hospital in the UK dedicated to Christians with mental health problems, we may be wrong, please let us know if we are, so that we can add this resource to the website. Maybe it is time for such a resource in the UK! With God all things are possible.

If you would like to contribute an article or your experiences of Christian mental health issues, please contact us and please remember to join our forum to discuss, share and encourage one another.

Please have a look at the following article as it does articulate some of the thinking behind this ministry and website:-

If you have stumbled onto this website and are not a Christian believer, please do take the time to have a look at the following article:-

This ministry and website is in the capable hands of our Lord Jesus and he will guide.

To all of our brothers and sisters whose lives are impacted by mental health we would like to say...

You are not alone, you are not bad, it is not your fault, God made you as you are and loves and accepts you as you are, we understand, there is hope and a brighter tomorrow!

Together we are stronger....
